A reflection on a talk by Pastor Rob Grundel, by Charlotte.

What does it mean to be in the presence of God? The answers were varied from the group. Rocky put forward that he feels the presence of the Spirit when we are together and focus on God. For Karla, she experiences it when she takes a step of faith to let God take over a situation. Tom said that when he rediscovers the joy of the lord, the spirit feels present in his life.

Hebrews 4:1 – Therefore, since the promise that we can enter into rest is still open, let’s be careful so that none of you will appear to miss it. God has offered the chance to enter into his rest.  Looking at the world today, it's easy to only see war and famine, disasters on small and large scales. It takes faith to decide  to step into his rest and hand over life's problems to him; we are told that we will be given a "peace that exceeds all understanding" (Philippians 4:7).

The answer will always be different for everybody when we feel God's presence, but he is there for us anywhere, anytime if we choose it.
