A reflection following a talk by Nick

Life is complex, and there are few things that are black and white.

I struggle with watching the news, seeing tragedy after tragedy affecting people close to home and afar.  There are seemingly no answers, at least no clear ones, as to why bad things happen or why some things are ‘just the way they are’; the same issues affecting people in 2021 as a couple thousand years ago.

It can all seem a bit doom and gloom if you think about it.

Or, we can consider this;

Romans 9:20 – 21
20 But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’”
21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?

It doesn’t give me all the answers, but it reminds me of how big God’s plan is, and that is a comforting thing to dwell on when I find myself getting caught up in the minutiae.
