From praising God with cheerful choruses to encouraging each other with testimonies and talks, Revival Centres Church European Summer camp was back with a bang!

The camp, held in Ustka, Poland, was a chance for assemblies from across Europe and the UK to come together and rejoice in what God has given us.

The theme of the camp was "Work Out Your Own Salvation", inspired by this verse in the Bible:

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Many talks were given discussing this theme, encouraging us to look into the Bible ourselves to understand what God has given to us, and what He wants us to do in our lives.

Pastor Carl from the Olney assembly spoke about how important it is to "work out" what we have - exercising the Holy Spirit in our lives. Praying, reading the Bible and witnessing is like going to the gym to continue growing in our relationship with the Lord.

Meanwhile, Pastor Pino from Florence, Italy, talked about the wisdom that God has given us through the Holy Spirit. Walking in God's wisdom helps us to bring forth good fruit.

Pastor Nick, visiting from London, shared thoughts from the Bible about how we need to take responsibility for our own salvation. However, he pointed out that we are not alone in this - God has given us support in the form of the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, and fellowship through the church.

One of the highlights of camp was seeing two people get baptised. They had recently been filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

The couple, from Poland, were both baptised by full emersion in the Baltic Sea on a beautiful sunny day - following exactly what God asks us to do in the Bible.

Another highlight was the choruses. In four different languages - Polish, English, Italian and German.

With loud, cheerful voices and passionate music, our choruses attracted many newcomers into the meeting room to check out what all the noise was about!

While we may have struggled pronouncing some of the Polish lyrics, we happily sang praises to God.

After years being separated due to Covid, it was a fantastic opportunity to once again come together and thank God for everything He has done for us.

We can't wait for the chance to do it all again in Italy next year!

Amen.
