2025 - what's your plan?

At the start of a new year, it's natural to think about our goals and purpose, but sometimes it’s easy to feel lost in the vastness of history and the universe.

Pastor Nick illustrated this by talking about the ancient civilizations displayed at the British Museum and upcoming cosmic events like the planetary alignment.

These things show just how tiny we are in the natural when compared to the seemingly endless stretch of time and space.

As David asked in Psalm 8:3-4:

“If God created the whole universe, why would He care about us?”

The answer is simple: He does!

Pastor Nick's message was all about the powerful truth that God has called each of us for his purpose, no matter how small or insignificant we might feel in the grand scheme of things.

Even in a world that can sometimes feel lonely or overwhelming, God has chosen each of us and given our lives a meaningful purpose.

Psalm 139 says God knows us deeply:

"You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely."

And 1 John 3:1 shows how much God loves us.

"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not."

Even though sin had hidden us from God, Romans 5:8 says, Christ died for us while we were still sinners—proving the depth of God’s love towards us.

This gives us hope and purpose as we look to the new year ahead and take hold of the Holy Spirit and God’s plan in our lives.

We can see examples of people from the bible, like Jonah, Moses, and Jeremiah, who felt totally inadequate for the roles God called them to.

Yet, despite their doubts, God used them in incredible ways.

Jeremiah, for example, preached for 40 years—even though not many listened and his message was difficult to  hear. He trusted God’s plan and spoke faithfully the things God asked.

The talk, given on January 12, 2025, encouraged everyone to take steps of faith to be an ambassador for God and preach the good news of salvation.

Whatever you do, do it for God, and find your purpose in Him.

As Colossians 3:23 says:

"Whatever you do, do it for the Lord.”

When we live with God at the centre, we find true significance that lasts.

Revival Centres Church preaches God’s plan for salvation: Repentance, Baptism and the Holy Spirit  as it says in Acts 2:38:

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

We encourage you to reach out if you would like to take this step of faith towards God - this is what is commanded.
